We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to offer you not only excellent conditions inside and proven experts in the courses, but also an exquisite environment. Bad Reichenhall is a pearl among the spa towns. Countless Wilhelminian-style houses and Art Nouveau villas together with the uniquely beautiful spa gardens and its graduation house with 130,000 blackthorn tufts create a stylish atmosphere, small stores and specialty restaurants such as the famous Reber with its Mozartkugeln meet almost northern Italian conditions on Florianiplatz with its medieval houses and tranquil gardens. Last but not least, I would like to mention the Reichenhall Symphony Orchestra, which has been active for 150 years and is a revelation in the field of classical music.

The Predigtstuhl, the magical Untersberg and the entire mountain scenery around the city stand in stark contrast to this and challenge people and visitors with their majestic presence. But also a walk in the parks above the academy or along the Saalach and last but not least a ride with the Predigtstuhlbahn from 1928 to the summit are experiences that can promote your artistic work as well as your well-being. Once you have reached the summit, the view over the Salzburger Land region and as far as Chiemgau awaits you. The Thumsee – an emerald green mountain lake invites you to take a refreshing dip and can be reached by bus or private car in approx. 10 minutes.

With the Haus der Berge, the Berchtesgaden National Park, the Königssee and the Watzmann, you will find further highlights in the immediate vicinity to experience nature as an inspiration, a haven of peace or a challenge. Salzburg – less than 30 minutes from the academy – offers additional artistic inspiration with the Museum der Moderne, numerous galleries and, of course, the festival at Easter and in summer.
