Organizational details
Please note: For all seminars lasting longer than three days and ending on a Saturday, classes close at 1.00 pm. We ask participants to vacate the studios by 3 p.m. at the latest.
Registration – The following registration options are available:

If you have opted for the SEPA direct debit procedure, the amount due will be debited from your account at least four weeks before the start of the course. If you have opted for bank transfer, you will receive an invoice from us after registration with the amount due and the relevant account information. We ask you to transfer the amount to one of our accounts within four weeks. Please note that we unfortunately do not accept cash or card payments. You will also receive detailed information about the seminar you have booked and a list of the paints, brushes and other materials you need to bring with you approximately four weeks before the start of the course.
Please understand that the number of participants is limited for all seminars. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.
Cancellation – If the number of participants is insufficient, the academy management may cancel a planned course. In this case, you will of course be refunded the amount you have already paid. Any further claims are excluded.
Cancellation – If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, you must inform us in writing. The statutory withdrawal period applies. Cancellation fees will be charged depending on the time of this withdrawal:
Received up to the 28th day before the start of the course:
10% of the course fee
Receipt from the 27th day before the start of the course:
50% of the course fee
Receipt from the 14th day before the start of the course:
70% of the course fee
Receipt from the 7th day before the start of the course:
100% of the course fee
Receipt at the start of the course or later:
100% of the course fee
Without a written cancellation: 100% of the course fee.
Cancellation insurance – Nothing is more annoying than missing a course due to illness or other unforeseen events. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. This is offered by Hanse Merkur or Ergo, among others.
Cancellation – If you as a participant cancel a seminar prematurely, you are not entitled to a refund of the course fee or a proportionate amount thereof.
Lecturers – The courses at the Art Academy are led by renowned artists from Germany and abroad. The announcement of a course with the name of a specific lecturer merely reflects the current state of planning.
Advice – Help with course selection is available by telephone during the specified opening hours.
Materials – Please bring all personal materials such as brushes, paint, chalk, pencils, charcoal, special paper, canvases, cameras etc. If you still need additional art materials, no problem: Boesner and two well-stocked specialist stores are located opposite the art academy.
Conditions – In order to ensure undisturbed work in the seminars, visits by persons who are not enrolled at the academy are not permitted. The equipment (easels, drawing boards, chairs, tables, etc.) is available to students on loan – please treat it with care.
Lesson times and use of rooms – The lesson times are specified for the individual seminars. The studios can also be used by participants in the evenings for the duration of a seminar. However, seminar participants are not entitled to supervision by lecturers during these times. Please note: For all seminars that last longer than three days and end on a Saturday, classes end at 1 p.m. We ask participants to vacate the studios by 3 p.m. at the latest.
Liability – The Kunstakademie is not liable for accidents, theft or damage of any kind occurring during or outside the lessons.
Catering – The Kunstakademie provides mineral water and organic coffee and tea. There are numerous pubs, restaurants, bistros and cafés in the vicinity of the Kunstakademie.
Accommodation – The Kunstakademie provides information on accommodation on its homepage and in the program catalog, which is not exhaustive. The Kunstakademie assumes no liability for the quality of the room furnishings or the accuracy of the accommodation information. If you are arriving with a camper van, you can use the paid camper van parking lot in Hammerschmiedweg, opposite the RupertusTherme, is available as a parking space. Overnight stays in motorhomes on the grounds of the
Old Salt Works is not permitted!
Parking – If you arrive by car, you can park directly in front of our door on the grounds of the Alte Saline (Südhof) for a fee. You have the option of purchasing discounted parking tickets for the duration of your stay from the owner of the site. You will receive the parking tickets in our office at the start of the course – only cash payment possible. Please note that it is not possible to camp or stay overnight on the premises.
Frequent booker bonus – Participants who attend more than three courses in 2023 will receive a credit note for 50 euros at the end of the year on request.
Participants recruit participants – Every participant who takes part in a seminar at the Kunstakademie Bad Reichenhall in 2023 will receive a credit note for 50 euros when a new participant is referred. Only if the new participant has transferred his course fee, the agent will receive his credit note at the end of the year. The agent must be named on the registration form.
Prices – The course prices are generally VAT-free. Not included are accommodation and catering costs as well as the cost of artists’ materials such as brushes, paints, paper, canvas etc.
Reduction – Students receive a 20% reduction on presentation of a copy or current ID.
Certificate – Students at the Art Academy receive a certificate after successful participation in the seminar.
W-LAN – The Art Academy offers you free W-LAN in all rooms.
Note on data protection – Our cooperation partner, the company Boesner GmbH, sends the material lists to the registered course participants on behalf of the Kunstakademie Bad Reichenhall. To simplify the ordering of materials, your address will be stored by Boesner and activated when you make your first purchase. If you do not agree to this, please note this on your registration form. We take the protection of your data seriously and have therefore compiled detailed information on the use and protection of your data in our separate privacy policy.
