WELCOME TO THE ART ACADEMY BAD REICHENHALL

Discover our program of art courses for the year 2024 and even 2025 – let yourself be inspired! We offer a year-round selection of painting and drawing courses, sculpture and plastic arts, and much more. We continually expand our range of art courses, including online courses and Open Studio Days, giving you plenty of space to develop your art. New additions include the Studio Weeks with Endy Hupperich, offering three weeks of intensive work. Our large studios are barrier-free and offer plenty of space for everyone.

Our studios are located in the spacious premises of the Old Saltworks, in the heart of Bad Reichenhall, and are easily accessible by bus and train. If you travel by car, there is paid parking available right outside on the Old Saltworks premises. Information about nearby hotels and accommodations, as well as other useful organizational details, can be found here.

The courses are for beginners and advanced students alike – for everyone who wants to dedicate themselves to art. We offer around 150 art courses in a variety of artistic disciplines. An especially intensive engagement with art is offered through our masterclasses and study programs with internationally renowned artists. New for 2024 is the Color Painting Study Program by Ingrid Floss and Prof. Jerry Zeniuk, offering an intensive two-year exploration of color. Additionally, our STUDIUM GENERALE and EXCELLENCE STUDIES programs allow for further deepening of your artistic practice.

To get a first impression of our instructors, we have launched a new video series: “Meet Our Instructors.”

In addition to our course program, we host various events such as exhibitions, film nights, artist talks, lectures, discussions, performances, and more. We welcome all visitors! In October 2022, we partnered with the AkademieKlub to host the art project “KLIMA KUNST NATUR,” with seven stations spread throughout the Berchtesgadener Land. In May of this year, we brought Grammy-winning artist Paul Hillier and his ensemble Theater of Voices to the beautiful Berchtesgadener Land for the concert “NATURE IS HEAVEN.”
