Verena Landau (b. 1965 in Düsseldorf) lives and works in Leipzig.
1990-1993: Training and teaching in historical painting techniques at the studio “Charles Cecil Studios”, Florence, Italy
From 1994 to 1999 she studied painting and graphic art at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig under Arno Rink, Neo Rauch and Wolfram Ebersbach.
In 2003, she received a scholarship from the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thüringen. Since 2008, she has been an artistic associate at the Institute for Art Education at the University of Leipzig. She also leads courses at the Bad Reichenhall Art Academy. In 2017, she was a lecturer in international art masterclasses at Beijing Universal Music & Culture Development Co. Ltd., China.
Her works have been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig, the Gallery for Contemporary Art Leipzig, the German Historical Museum Berlin, the Museum Królikarnia-Palais Warsaw, the Muzeul de Artà Timisoara, Romania, the Visual Arts Museum, New York and the Goethe Institute Hong Kong.
