If you have unsuccessful pictures lying around that have been waiting to be reworked for a long time, let’s do it now: We will bring them to new life! We do not prime canvases again, but work with the existing motifs. This could look like this: to oppose a completely new, different form or structure to the painting with spontaneous brushstrokes, thus creating new pictorial spaces and bringing tension into the action. In turn, react to this new situation with lines, surfaces, and glazes.
A dynamic painting process is set in motion, the outcome of which is unpredictable and remains exciting until the end. In order not to interrupt the flow of painting, we already work on several canvases at the same time if possible. We have nothing to lose. Because pictures that we have already given up on offer us the freedom for risky experiments. A seminar in which courage and sometimes anger is good for us!
The course ‘30 Pictures in 3 Days – Picture Series’ taking place immediately before this course is based on the same concept in a smaller format.
