Contemporary watercolour painting is not about realistic perfection, but rather the individual transformation of a motif in terms of form, colour and structure.
Participants learn to recognise and develop their own strengths so that their pictures take on a soul of their own. Experience and knowledge should remain in the background, allowing risk, imagination and openness to give rise to something new.
Watercolour offers so many wonderful possibilities for making the painting process exciting. It is important to develop a basic trust in order to create surprising intermediate results and to respond to them.
In addition to the classic use of watercolour, new techniques will also be demonstrated and tried out.
Numerous picture discussions are intended to support the course objective in an inspiring and motivating way. Bernhard Vogel will also paint watercolours himself and explain his philosophy. An intense artistic atmosphere develops in the group and everyone will surpass themselves. Various motifs will be offered, but please also bring your own motifs as photos.
