This course introduces participants to the fascinating subject of bronze casting, which has been around for thousands of years.
At the beginning of the course you will have the opportunity to express yourself freely in the natural material clay.With creativity and a lot of fun in artistic expression, you will realize your own ideas in the first three days inclay sculptures (size approx. 15 x 15 x 20 cm).
On the fourth day we will introduce you to the extremely exciting and interesting bronze casting technique. We will create a silicone/plaster mold together and discuss the next steps with you further work steps until the finished bronze casting.
Finally, we will visit the art casting workshop where the works are cast.The bronze casting will take place separately and the date will be agreed with the participants. You are cordially invited to be present when your sculptures are cast in bronze.
The patina and finishing of the cast bronze sculptures will be realized together with the participants. The date will be agreed.The finished bronze sculptures will be sent to you on requestThe costs for the bronze casting are not included in the course fee.Depending on the size of the model, €200 – €500 will be charged.The participants of our courses do not have to pay any further material costs apart from the casting costs. The course takes place in the casting workshop of Manuel and Tobias Gruber in Bad Dürrnberg near Hallein (Austria). On request, we will be happy to arrange accommodation near the workshop (approx. 5 min).
