Classical, condensed, contemporary and stylised nude drawing.
The body as the vehicle for the image idea
This four-day intensive seminar is dedicated to nude drawing as a central artistic discipline between observation, interpretation and free composition. The human body is understood not only as an anatomical object, but as a vehicle for gesture, tension, rhythm and inner movement. Starting from classical nude studies, proportion and posture are developed and gradually transformed into stylised, condensed pictorial solutions. The focus is on gestures, lines of sight and the resulting sense of space, as well as the question of how posture creates proximity, distance and depth through line and style.
Working with ink, charcoal, chalk, watercolour and acrylic opens up different levels of expression and atmosphere. Line and surface, drawing and painting enter into a conscious dialogue, and traditional approaches are expanded to include contemporary and experimental approaches.
Through guided exercises, free work phases and image discussions, participants develop an independent approach to nude drawing – beyond pure study, towards a personal, lively visual language.
