Personal drawing – style, space, expression and authenticity
This three-day intensive seminar understands drawing as an independent, authentic medium and direct expression of personal perception. Drawing as a reflection of the soul takes centre stage, along with individual style – the quality of the line between density and openness, control and letting go.
Using charcoal, chalk and ink, participants explore the interplay of material, hand movement and inner attitude. Another focus is on conscious spatial design: emptiness, weighting and rhythm can be experienced as key elements of atmosphere and expression.
Through guided exercises, free work and image discussions, participants reflect on and deepen their own drawing style. The aim is to strengthen confidence in one’s own expression and to develop drawing as a personal, living visual language beyond mere representation.
