Today, the questions regarding the ‘essential nature’ of colour and light seem to me more relevant than ever. It is beyond doubt to me that every individual can enormously expand their sensitivity to these phenomena through training the senses and the mind, and thereby also find an artistic language. With the necessary inspiration and a measure of open-mindedness, new fields of painting can be discovered and explored. Paul Klee’s credo was: “Art does not reproduce the visible, but makes visible.” In this spirit, this course aims to show people who already have some practical artistic experience how to harness their strengths to develop interesting painterly approaches.
In this course, I see myself as a supporter and advisor for any questions that may arise during the artistic process. Participants are free to work as they wish and choose their own painting technique. Various tools may be used to help build up the image: palette knives, rollers, brushes, squeegees, etc. It can be created using oil or acrylic paints, either on canvas or paper.
