In this seminar, Bernhard Vogel demonstrates his unique and successful technique, which he is constantly refining. The aim is to use a new approach to painting to foster a sense of euphoria, curiosity and a drive to create, in order to make acrylic paints on canvas really come to life.
The themes are cities, architecture and landscapes, which we aim to interpret artistically, taking plenty of risks.
Bernhard Vogel has no secrets, as he will be working alongside us and explaining what is important to him:
artistic quality, individual interpretation, imagination, ambivalence, letting go, freedom and the creative process. The Academy’s magnificent and historic premises offer the ideal conditions for a free and experimental approach to work. The course includes numerous individual critiques of participants’ work, as well as a major final review session.
Subjects will be provided; please also bring your own photographs with personal significance.
