Everything we see also contains the invisible.
In a person’s face, perhaps a hidden fear;
in a house, the history of the time people have spent there;
in a landscape, the changes that will take place in the next hour.
Painting, when it is good, works in such a way that one can perceive the invisible, if the viewer is ready for it; and even if they are not ready, it still has its effect. In our course, we explore this. Even the mundane conveys such messages.
Everyone works on their own subjects – those that interest them, things they’re already familiar with, or even something completely new. The aim is to become aware of these things.
It’s very exciting, and I’m looking forward to our discussions about the pictures we create.
