In this course, you will learn, step by step, how to sketch your artistic ideas centred on landscapes and nature-themed subjects and transform them into expressive prints using wood or linoleum blocks.
Under professional guidance, you’ll discover the basic principles of woodcut and linocut, as well as more advanced techniques in material printing. Using a printing press or by hand, you’ll transfer your carved designs onto paper – every stage offers scope for creative experimentation and individual expression. The spacious workshop is well-equipped with individual workstations, a printing press, inks, paper, and wood and linoleum blocks. Materials will be charged at the end of the course based on consumption. This course is aimed at both beginners and those with some experience who wish to deepen their knowledge. Please bring comfortable work clothes, a positive attitude, fresh creative ideas and some initial sketches. You will receive a detailed list of materials separately.
