This workshop is aimed at anyone who enjoys drawing, making collages, cutting, gluing and arranging using paper. We’ll start with simple paper cut-outs of portraits as a way to practise cutting techniques using scissors and craft knives.
Over the course of the week, we will then create pop-up boxes, leporellos and carousel books, which use overlapping perspectives to produce small works of art or tell short stories.
The interplay of creative elements – whether drawn, graphic or experimental – will be discussed and explored in line with the participants’ individual interests.
The course is designed so that everyone is supported according to their talents – whether they prefer realistic or abstract drawing.
