Painting Course
The human body is one of the most fascinating subjects in art. This painting course focuses on an in-depth exploration of the human figure – its form, movement, posture and individual expression.
We will examine proportions and anatomical relationships, and learn how to capture and depict the body through painting. This involves the structure of the composition, the interplay of light and shadow, the individual colours of skin and hair, and the interplay of muscles, body shapes and movement. Particular emphasis is placed on observation and perception: how does light alter the shape of the body? What colours are actually present in the skin? How can physicality, tension and expression be made visible through painterly means?
The focus is on personal artistic development. Each participant is supported in sharpening their own perception, discovering their individual strengths and developing a personal approach to depicting the human figure. Both realistic and free, expressive painterly approaches are welcome.
The course takes place with various models.
