The human body in its movement has always fascinated artists. The depiction of dynamics, sensuality and expression plays a central role, particularly in the field of nude drawing and painting. This seminar is dedicated to the theme of “Nudes in motion” with a special focus on the aesthetic and erotic dimension of the human body. Participants will learn to capture the body in its naturalness and elegance, whether through quick sketches that capture the essence of a movement or through expressive painting that emphasizes light, shadow and body shapes. Targeted exercises are used to train the eye for proportions, anatomical structures and the dynamics of posture. The focus is on the sensual expression of the model: How can emotion be conveyed with lines and colors? How can movement appear alive in a static representation? In addition to drawing practice with charcoal, pencil or red chalk, painting techniques with acrylic or watercolor are also introduced. The focus is not only on realistic reproduction, but also on an expressive, intuitive approach. The artistic interpretation of the erotic nude allows a play with suggestion, contrast and abstraction in order to make the tension between movement and physicality visible.
The seminar is aimed at both beginners and advanced students who wish to deepen their skills in nude drawing and painting. Various techniques will be explored in an inspiring atmosphere, while each participant’s individual artistic sensibility will be encouraged. The aim is to develop a deeper understanding of the aesthetic and emotional impact of the human body in motion and to implement this artistically.
