Special course for advanced students, basic knowledge of working with clay is required!
Creativity is the process that leads us to new ideas and brilliant insights and awakens our
entire artistic potential. It is not a mysterious gift that some
are blessed with and others are not.
Every person is creative. There are certain circumstances that encourage creativity in us and
bring it out.
An important factor in this is the material. In this course, we work with two wonderful artistic materials, paper clay and fibre clay.
Paper clay, also known as fibre clay or cellulose clay, is a modelling clay with a small
addition of cellulose fibres. Fibreclay differs from paperclay in that it uses synthetic fibres instead of natural fibres. The technical properties of both
clays are comparable, but there are differences in how they feel. Both materials are
extremely adaptable and offer almost limitless possibilities for processing.
They are suitable for extraordinary experiments. Like conventional clay, these special clays are suitable for firing and glazing.
The spacious rooms of the art academy offer the ideal conditions for this. Here
you will find the right mix of relaxation and concentration.
In this course, you will learn how to develop good ideas, find a solution and implement it with the appropriate preparation.
The course provides a theoretical introduction and practical guidance.
IMPORTANT:
The clay must be ordered by the participants from Andrea Wolbring.
It will be delivered to the academy. Detailed information can be found in the
material list.
Glazing and firing are available on request in my studio.
