Born in 1975, studied painting with Dietmar Ulrich and illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid.
Even as a teenager, he loved plein air painting, painting a lot outside, in cities and in the countryside. During his studies, he mainly devoted himself to painting; his graduation project was an extended painting trip through the western United States.
For a while he worked successfully as an illustrator for a variety of publishers, and published art books, before turning to painting full-time. Felix Eckardt has already taught painting and illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Today he works as a freelance artist in Hamburg.
His passion and professional focus is painting. Important study trips for his painting took him to London, the west coast of the USA and New York. His works have been shown in many exhibitions in Germany and abroad at galleries and art fairs and can be found in international private collections.
