Franz Seitl, born in 1963, lives and works in the Weinviertel region near Vienna.
Trained as a graphic designer and illustrator. Many years of intensive work in painting, printmaking and sculpture. For 15 years, he has mainly been creating small mixed media sculptures: fragile-looking absurd structures, elegant reduced or caricature-like figurative forms, the surfaces almost always rough, jagged and rusty.
