In this modeling course, we want to bring clay to life! Using an additive, fully constructive process, we will create busts that have something to say, that express an emotion.
Joy, anger, sadness, … all these human feelings and the corresponding facial expressions can tell stories! Gestures, posture and the movement of the hands can greatly emphasize the emotional state to be portrayed! Clothing, hairstyles and props also contribute to the overall appearance and thus enhance the desired message. As always, I will start the course by going into the human anatomy of the head, neck, thorax, arms and hands. We will (actively!) deal with different facial expressions. What happens under the skin of the face when you are happy, when you are angry, when you are frightened, etc.? Questions such as what makes a male bust look “typically male” or a female bust “typically female” will be answered. How does the human skull change over the course of a lifetime? In addition to these topics, the sensual aspect of modeling will not be neglected! Get involved with clay as a material!
