Using clay – a traditional and easy-to-work-with material – we will create sculptures, taking into account techniques appropriate to the material and its specific possibilities. Whilst keeping in mind the principles of figurative art, such as proportions and the basics of human anatomy, we can give free rein to our imagination – right through to creating abstract works in clay. Taking into account the structural properties of the material, we will work together to create the sculpture, each according to their own individual theme. Starting from an idea or a mental image, I will guide the course participants through the practical realisation of their work. In doing so, I will demonstrate various technical approaches and methods of execution, offer solutions to any problems that arise, and draw on my many years of experience to provide support.
Curiosity and interest are the most important prerequisites for this course. Depending on previous experience, participants can choose the size and level of difficulty of their sculpture.
