Painting is a powerful tool for forming a picture of the world, bringing to light what has hitherto gone unseen, and gaining new experiences. It helps us to broaden our means of expression, thereby creating a more complex metaphor for our existence in an ever-changing world.
Art reflects these changes and must therefore constantly renew itself; this is what makes it so important.
And painting is an experience in which we are involved, yet the full extent of which often only becomes apparent in hindsight.
The core of the course lies in the further development of each participant’s painting skills. The resulting works will be discussed both in one-to-one sessions and as a group. The course is suitable for beginners as well as practising and experienced painters; anyone with a sense of curiosity is welcome. The choice of painting materials is up to you, though we recommend working with acrylic or oil paints, as they offer a wider range of technical possibilities.
