Nature offers an immense treasure trove of forms, created without human intervention. Our designs may be inspired by microscopic structures, wondrous plants or the fascinating anatomy of the animal world. Through drawing exercises and three-dimensional experiments, we develop these into new forms. You will explore the tactile properties and joining possibilities of paper and wire, learn moulding techniques, and flexibly adapt the shape of these everyday materials to your ideas during the creative process. We create textured objects from hardened paper, sculptural spatial drawings from wire, or combine both materials in ingenious ways. This gives rise to mysterious vegetative reliefs and spatial impressions of a living natural cosmos.
Curiosity and a love of experimentation should be at the forefront.
Throughout the working process, we will discuss artistic design criteria and possibilities for successful presentation, both individually and in a group, based on your pieces.
