Colors have always made a direct and strong impression on us; they are the means of expression and main actors of every painting. Colors trigger emotions and appeal to all our senses. They inspire, excite, challenge and touch us without us being able to defend ourselves against it. Sometimes colors also irritate or literally hurt. They evoke associations, trigger thoughts – and sometimes they simply catapult us into bliss. Reason enough to devote an in-depth seminar to this topic: How do colors work and why? How do I make colors in a picture correspond with each other and create interesting sounds? How is spatiality created through color and what are the different possibilities for applying color? How do I mix colors and set them excitingly in the picture? In addition to technical and design questions, we also deal with finding our own artistic expression. After an initial joint exercise, each participant is supported individually in the creative process and their own project – whether abstract or representational.
