We apply colours. We arrange and discard. We grapple with the material. We engage with processes. What is an image? An image of ourselves. An image of the world. An image of our longing, or an aggressive one? An image that transcends everything. Perhaps one that sets us free? An image full of mystery. That is roughly the content of the course. Participants should have sufficient prior experience in painting. All techniques are possible: pencil, coloured pencils, watercolour, acrylic on large-format canvas.
