Leave the paper white or not? How do you emphasise the light and what colour is the shadow? Which technique suits which motif? Wet-on-wet painting is further developed and deepened, as are the different dry techniques and the variations of glaze painting.
The basics of composition, colour selection, reduced palette, colour temperature, colour mixing – all this will be demonstrated using practical examples. Very important: in this course I will show you how to avoid dull, cloudy colours and how to keep the watercolour always harmonious in colour (and many other “tricks”). There are no secrets with me.
We will look in detail at the use of light and shadow in watercolour. The focus is not on realistic depiction, but rather we try together to capture the mood and atmosphere in the picture.
Of course, there are also regular, detailed image reviews with correction tips. If desired, also with assistance.
Important note:
This course is not suitable for beginners. Independent, confident drawing and a solid knowledge of watercolour painting are required.
