Many landscapes on our planet have been shaped by fire or ice. Think, for example, of the volcanoes and glaciers of Iceland. These landscape forms are therefore at the heart of our work. Ice islands, crevasses, volcanic craters and lava flows are examples and models for our artistic creations.
We start by producing pigment colours and fillers from sand, marble powder and cement. We protect the canvas with the first layers. Later layers of paint determine the composition. Water, sand and paint give the picture the desired expression. Finally, we use the burning heat of fire to make specific marks on the picture.
It takes a little courage to set your picture alight, but the sparkle in your eyes and the smile on your face make it worth trying.
