born in Erfurt in 1968, 1989 began working as a sign painter, 1990–95 studied painting and graphic arts at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig under Arno Rink, 1995 diploma; then began two-year master’s program under Ulrich Hachulla (state ), numerous prizes and awards for his work, numerous murals, altarpieces, in 2010 creation of the portrait “Pope Benedict XVI” for the Pope Benedict XVI Institute in Regensburg, and much more; numerous works in museums and collections, lives and works in Leipzig.
