Wire and paper are ideal materials for creating imaginative objects.
We will draw sketches to search for inspiring shapes. Through exercises and experiments, we will develop these into new, associative forms. This inexhaustible material adapts flexibly to the development of your ideas during the creative process.
You will learn about material properties and possible combinations.
Both wire and paper can predominate in the design. Modelled as a framework and covered with layers of paper, the wire is only visible in traces. Knotted and bent into a spatial drawing, accented with paper, the metal dominates.
Everyday materials can thus be used to create clearly structured objects, mysterious reliefs or vivid dream images.
Curiosity and a willingness to experiment are key.
During the working process, we discuss artistic design criteria and options for successful presentation individually and in groups, using your workpieces as examples.
