Space between something evokes questions and imaginative ideas. These ideas can be a creative starting point for image design. Interstitial spaces are transitions between different materials or even consciousness. The space in between can relate to layers of the earth or the transition from one element to another. In the broadest sense, interstitial spaces are intangible events that we feel and that often manifest as spiritual experiences.
Inventing images, pictorial feelings, pictorial spaces – all these terms are based on individual imagination and experience. Making new experiences in pictorial design is an extremely appealing moment. By discussing the works created together, the participants are offered a comprehensible analysis of what has happened, so that they are encouraged in their own expressiveness. In the evening lectures on art history and current art examples, the participants‘ daily events are reflected upon. The seminar is suitable for both beginners and advanced students of painting and drawing.

There will be daily work discussions and a slide lecture to reflect on the day’s work from an art-historical perspective.
